Entry # 8 Overall reflection

Since the beginning of my internship, I think I reach the goals I set for myself. I have a grace reaches my enthusiasm and my desire to learn the language. In addition, I have a lot to improve my vocabulary by communicating with other people around me. Some moment was hard to blend into the decor when others spoke and had exciting discussions. I could not really interact with them since I hardly understand half the words they were saying. I think these moments were the hardest of my internship.

Strategies
During my internship, strategies that I was attached to me helped me a lot. For example, during my internship I asked many questions about the words I did not understand as well as the formulation of my sentences. Most of the time, I was composing my sentences in my head and I asked a volunteer if a sentence is said and if it was well made. There is a goal that I was determined that I do not have respect. I was the one to talk without worrying about mistakes? I'm not much to talk with other volunteers for fear of making mistakes. I think I was intimidated because it is so good and I am having difficulty understanding. If I would have to change that, I would have done and I would go a little more interaction with people.
Language
I think my English has improved a lot since the beginning of my internship. I tend to make fewer mistakes when I speak; I use more polite words that I did not use before. I feel that my vocabulary has improved a lot; I look under my words when I talk and I feel fluidity when I talk. Early were really difficult for me to speak without stop because I did not know the words, but the more I listen to what others say, the more my vocabulary improves.

Growth

My internship helps me better know myself. It allowed me to see my ability to do things that I thought I would not be able to do. My internship has given me the opportunity to open up with others and take my place in place. I am often afraid to interact with others,  because I'm a really shy person even if it is not seen. It often takes me a while to get used with others. I have always believed that the English culture were the snub people and felt superior to others, but it's completely the opposite. The English people are very simple, nice and friendly. They are really open minded and fun. I clear my internship with a beautiful image and a beautiful mindset of English. I think I would bring with me the mentality and enthusiasm of Anglophones culture.

The internship
My internship has made me understand the beauty of childhood. It allowed me to open up a little more with others. I take a great experience because I have fun with the volunteers and children. If I had to change something, I think it’s to have been to talk with other people.

Gratitude
To thank my host I have written him a letter in which I thank her for everything she has made me and what gave me opportunities.

Dear Sarah,
I want to thank you for this-have a chance to experience. That I appreciate and I hope we will see each other soon. I really liked the internship with the children. They were amazing. Thank you for doing a good job.

The placement
I recommend this place because I think the person really going to leave it with a great experience. She'll feel comfortable and will not have problem to make friends.

entry #7 pursue..... :D

I chose this dialogue because it allowed me to tell the difference between do and make these words  are difficult to understand. They cause a lot of problem because these words are very similar and often we do not know or place them in a sentence.

enttry 6 breaking it down

How has your English improved so far during your internship?

My English has improved a lot since the beginning, because thanks to my internship I was able to learn new words more polite to say and new words and expressions.

Listening Comprehension

It is easier for me to understand the people I work with at the beginning because they are expressed in a clear and good Basic English.

People articulate when they speak and their words are more understandable. In addition, they speak very quickly as does young and do not use vulgar words. So the understanding is definitely easier for me.

During my internship I really used the strategy of repetition and I asked a lot of questions when I arrived to understand something or when I could not say a word. For example, when I help a child with his duty is French and he does not understand, I translated into English, but sometimes there are words that I can’t not seem to translate and I ask at the colleague and she told me when I repeat a child and I'll see another child who has the same duty and I translated with this word new and I repeated several times, then the word is in my memory and I use it daily.

Accent
During my internship I noticed that my focus has changed a bit. It is easier for me to say a sentence fluently. I find it easier to pronounce the << s>> in sentences and grant such verbs in the third person singular. I said for example she go instead she goes. I also note that English is a language that speaks the language. Let me explain: to speak in English, it must somehow have the lightness and really articulate language because some words are very similar in pronunciation such as the beach and bitch. If you do not articulate it might make mistakes and offend someone.

 Fluency
Yes I became more fluent in English. It is easier for me to talk about all subjects. I was very open with people to improve my English. In this way, I learned to understand and I learned to build a good sentence structure to speak well.

 Humour
I've never been this has a joke in English. I am always with children and they really do not make jokes. But sometimes I hear other volunteers laugh them without knowing what they are talking exactly.

Accuracy
I do a lot of effort to fully express myself. When I speak, I do a lot more attention to the pronunciation of words and plural words. I give out the verbs with their good time and I attentions to the third person singular, which causes me time problem. Before talking about someone I make the sentence in my head before telling him and when I hesitated for a word, I ask to a person around me to see if it says it. Then I make my sentence correctly.

New words, expressions or structures
Lately, I did not hear new expressions and new words that have really marked me.

cultural encounters

1. During my internship, there are many posters of cultural activities and when I do my internship with babies every parent needs to learn a song from his country of origin so that others learn about other cultures.

2.During my internship with the babies, we listen to a lot of classical music and sing
TAPPE, TAPPE, TAPPE
Picnic, picnic, picnic
Scrub, scrub, scrub
Roll, roll, roll
Top
Down
Hide eyes
Cuckoo! Canteens of child
And we also listen to classical music as Beethoven to calm the children for siesta or activities

3. The instructors give each a week a newspaper that says a baby learning process. These newspapers learned the behavior and habits of babies and how react to changes in the child.

4.During my internship, the instructors speak English that is English born without vulgarity. It is easy to understand and always adapted to the understanding of children.

5.The most difficult aspect of this day is calm children when they cry and be patient with them.
The best part of my internship is to sit down with the children, help them and have fun with them and see the smile on them faces.

the world is your classroom

1.Discuss linguistic interference
My mother tongue does not really affect the way I talk on the contrary it helps me the pronunciation of some words in English. I noticed that when we speak English we put a lot of strength with our tongue to pronounce the words, and as in my mother language is a bit like, it easy for me a little to pronounce.

2.

How is learning English different in your internship than in a classroom?

The difference between my English learning in class and internship class is that I learned more grammar and way of pronouncing words, sentence structure and how to use verbs. At my internship, I applied all this I repeat the words I do not know, and when I speak, I do not pay attention to grammar, I practice for fluidity when I talk.
I often have difficulty in understanding. Because people speak quickly and pronounce badly the words that does not make me an easy task.

diving in

1. In my internship, it is important to be happy and be smiling because everything happens in the face. The child tends to look for our facial expressions. The volunteers and children express very polite way to ask a question or whatever. They often tend to say please and thank you. The volunteers do not use big words, they are really polite. Grace to this way of speaking, I learn new ways to speak good English that I hear every day. I Learn a new words as: May I, please, thank you, indeed.

2.I noticed that the English culture is a culture based on simplicity. The people are very pleasant to others. They are open-minded and not afraid to interact with you. For cons, the French culture is more conservative, it is a bit cold. It's rare to see two people start a conversation suddenly.
People greet each other in polite way, still smiling. Usually, they say: Hi how are you doing and since that time, I said all the time. They greeted the first name of the person, natural and friendly way. People give a handshake to demonstrate their respect for the other person. When people are disaccord, they go into a corner and have a mature discussion and in resorting with same opinion. People dress naturally; they put comfortable and presentable clothing. Nobody dresses exuberant way. The people are very punctual and respect the time breaks.

3.During my internship, I heard the words may I which it’s a form of respect for French can I say, and the phrase how are you doing that means comment allez-vous? At the beginning I had the misery to understand because I thought it was what do you do, then I'd say nothing and people looked at me strangely.
